1974 born, Bratislava, Czechoslovakia.
Educated as an Electromechanic specializing in computers, machinery, and equipment.
2005
Foray into the art and design landscape began with the establishment of Milk Studio, which I co-founded.
As a high-end design and branding studio, we became known for our innovative approach and a longstanding collaboration with Slovakia's largest music festival, Pohoda. Our commitment to excellence was recognized when we were chosen to create a new visual identity for Slovak National Television (RTVS) in 2012.
2013
Our creative path expanded as we co-founded the By Design Conference, a significant event that draws superstars from the global design and branding scenes to Slovakia.
However, 2013 was also the year of a pivotal transition for me. As the co-founder and managing director of Milk Studio, I found myself drifting from hands-on creative work, with my responsibilities increasingly tied to the financial management of the business.
I made the profound decision to step away from all business ventures to immerse myself in the arts and reconnect with the creative process. This period of introspection and renewal was marked by a year-long sabbatical in Thailand.
2014
The year 2014 marked the beginning of a new chapter in my artistic career. I started to work under the pseudonym Mr. Wood, dedicating myself to delving deeper into the art world.
During this period, I began building my atelier and honing my skills in technology, particularly in mastering the CNC machine. My creative approach to woodworking craft and painting led to the development of several product lines, which were primarily sold through my online store, mrwoodshop.com.
2022 - 2025
This period of intensive innovation and craftsmanship culminated in a personal renaissance, prompting me to adopt my true name, Zolo Kis, as the hallmark of my artistic identity.
As I continue to evolve and grow, my work reflects a unique synthesis of my technical background and my passion for artistic expression.
